4. Maintain a Healthy Diet

  • Limit Sugary Foods and Drinks: Sugar promotes the growth of plaque bacteria, which can lead to cavities.

  • Avoid Acidic Foods and Drinks: Sugar isn’t the only thing that promotes cavity formation. Acidic food and drinks such as sparkling water, fruits and juices can weaken your teeth, allowing bacteria to form cavities easier.

  • Eat Tooth-Friendly Foods: Incorporate foods rich in calcium and phosphorous, like dairy products, leafy greens, and nuts, to strengthen your teeth.

  • Stay Hydrated: Drinking water helps wash away food particles and bacteria, keeping your mouth clean.

5. Regular Dental Checkups

  • Frequency: Visit your dentist at least twice a year, unless directed by your Dentist, for professional cleanings and checkups.
