COVID19
What we are doing to keep you and our staff safe
At Carlton Dental, we understand you may have concerns about visiting the dentist in amidst a pandemic. We have and always will continue to put your health and safety as a top priority.
As such, we believe we should be as transparent as possible in our process of following guidelines and procedures set out by the CDC, RCDSO, CMOH and other authorities in this matter.
Here are what we are doing:
Patient Screening for COVID
As set out by the Public Health Ontario and RCDSO, we are screening all our patients before and at their visit to our office for potential symptoms of COVID-19. This includes taking your temperature during your visit. If you are experiencing any known symptoms of COVID-19 we advise you limit social contact, self-isolate and contact your medical provider.
PPE for Staff and Patients
We are requiring all staff members to wear masks and other necessary PPE during work. We also ask our patients to be wearing masks at all times during their time in our office except when receiving treatment.
Social Distancing and Removal of Waiting Room Items
At Carlton Dental, we are limiting the number of patients that can enter our facility at the same time to promote social distancing. We have also removed shared items such as magazines and children’s toys to reduce the amount of surfaces that are shared amongst patients.
Limiting Aerosol Generating Procedures (AGP)
We are doing our best to limit the number of Aerosol Generating Procedures by evaluating each patient individually and trying to come up with a plan that does not involve the use of aerosol generating equipment. However, when we do need to do any AGPs, then we ensure that the room is disinfected according to the most recent guidelines.
